It's not always about capturing extraordinary images or chasing perfect light. Sometimes it's simply about being outdoors, enjoying the silence and allowing yourself a little time away from everything else.

The hay bales were sitting quietly in the morning light, surrounded by the remnants of the fog. Nothing spectacular had happened. No dramatic landscape. No extraordinary weather. Just an ordinary field that, for a brief moment, looked completely different.

A restless night unexpectedly turned into an early morning photography adventure. With sunrise approaching, I headed to Alsterdalen and discovered that perhaps there are some advantages to getting older after all.

Back at Knuthöjdsmossen, still searching for the perfect image. No fog this time, but beautiful morning light and almost perfect reflections made the visit worthwhile.

A family holiday doesn't always leave much room for photography. But during quiet walks with our dog Harry, I found myself wandering through Bonnstan—Skellefteå's beautifully preserved church town.

There's something refreshing about stepping outside my comfort zone. It encourages me to explore familiar forests with fresh eyes, looking less for spectacular landscapes and more for rhythm, texture and subtle changes in light. Sometimes that's enough to make a well-known place feel completely new again.

Sometimes the desire to create photographs is stronger than the availability of compelling subjects. On those days, Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) offers an entirely different way of seeing.

I followed winding roads through fjords, mountains, and high plateaus. The weather was anything but predictable. Rain came and went, clouds rolled across the peaks, and sunshine appeared only in brief, fleeting moments. For motorcycling alone, it may not have been ideal. But for photography, it was close to perfect.

To experience a scene like this, capture it, and then sit down with a cup of coffee while the world slowly wakes up around you, that is exactly why I’m so deeply drawn to landscape photography.

I took this photograph in one last attempt to bring “the sheep picture” back home with me.

I grabbed my camera and headed out into weather that honestly didn’t look promising at all.

A short trip to the Lake District in England

I went back to the same spot as last week. The sky had more life, and the light did what I hoped for.

The light this morning was something else.

For those restless nights when sleep won’t come, landscape photography becomes a quiet escape.

The water still carried traces of the storm’s energy, moving in slow, heavy breaths around the rocks.

The sun finds its way back, slipping through the forest and catching every strand like it’s made of gold.

The light filtered gently through the trees, guiding us forward, as if inviting us deeper into the calm.

The light hit the trees and the little red shed, bringing warmth to an otherwise muted scene.
